A brand new travel mag out of Germany, hey, they've got David Lynch on the cover and that's pretty much gets a vote of confidence from us from the get-go.

In their words, "While strolling through a bookshop at London Heathrow Airport, in the late Summer of 2008 it struck us for the first time: There is no publication available that explores traveling and temporary habitation for an increasingly sophisticated and mobilized generation of travelers. In response to this community and importantly, as a part of it, over the past two years we have developed The Travel Almanac as a way of filling this gap."

Noble intentions, indeed! Inside the first issue: an interview with Andy McCluskey from 80s romantic pop heroes Orchestral Manouvres in the Dark (among other things, he talks about the private club at Disneyland), David Lynch talking about his favourite holiday destinations (Lodz, in Poland, incidentally), James Murphy from the DFA lamenting things-lost-in-hotel-rooms ("I've probably lost enough phone and computer chargers to start a foundation for children without chargers") and all kinds of other great stuff.
